I had well-designed, extremely spacious room with wonderful view and unique furnishings and the balcony. The location was great - short walk to a hill surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds as well as Vermont lodging as opposed to sterile Manhatten-esque modernism.

Proximity to the mountain and comfort of living and dining rooms. Our waitress was excellent - very attentive.
The room was very outdated and there was confusion about what was included in my stay. Upon checkout, I pointed out that they forgot to charge me for dinner. They went on to charge me far more than my waitress had told me it would cost (she had said the fixed menu was inclusive of all taxes and service, but the desk clerk explained it wasn't the case). They offered up nothing to make up for that error in communication and even went on to tell me that if I had booked though their website rather than bookings.com, I would have seen the meal + room packages which were much cheaper than what I paid. When I asked them to honor the package price, they said, "Sorry, we can't do that" but welcomed me to return sometime. Yeah, not likely...

The location of this place is very pretty, with a lovely atmosphere and it's not too far from a protected forest, the building and rooms are beautiful with a great view, and there is a really cute area that I truly enjoyed.

Driveway not plowed, got stuck at entrance. Untreated slippery conditions at door to enter Inn. Staff was very unfriendly/rude - cleared table before we were done, very limited menu, could not keep up with breakfast supply when very few people were even in there eating. Room was rather dirty looking compared to online pictures. Sliding door to go outside was left open both days we were there and was blamed on a "ghost" - which left room at 58 degrees when we returned from the outside and were already freezing!? Hallways were stinky. Beds very uncomfortable with hard pillows! Steps out by the indoor pool very dangerous along with the annoying mirrors! And check your questionaire for spelling errors!

The guest room with the queen sized bed was lovely and well arranged. the breakfast included was fantastic. the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. the hotel's location was secluded and close to Stowe mountain. I appreciated the charming Vermont lodging style over modern, sterile designs typically found in Manhattan.
